Mohair is a luxury fibre like cashmere, Angora, and silk, it is breathable, very strong, and highly insulating as it is a hollow fibre and warms almost instantly when placed next to the skin. It also has extraordinary wicking properties and can absorb up to 30% of moisture without feeling wet. 

Most importantly, as mohair is a smooth fibre when the socks are tight in a boot there is less chafing and therefore more blister resistance. It is extremely hard-wearing and does not hold on to odours. You can wear these socks with confidence for several days without offending anyone when you take your boots off at the end of the day.
